Dr. John Plump is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a graduate of Alcorn State University where he received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science Education and a Master of Science Degree in Secondary Education. In addition, Dr. Plump holds degrees in Educational Administration from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a doctorate in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Plump is the CEO of Plump Educational Consulting Services, Inc. and is the author of (2) books entitled, Tragedy to Triumph: The Urban School Transformation and Pushing for Proficiency: The Teacher’s Instructional Highway. Dr. Plump holds membership in the Alabama High School Athletic Association, National Alliance of Black School Educators, National Council for Educating Black Children, Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., and Phi Delta Kappa Educational Honors Fraternity. Dr. Plump’s mantra for mankind is simple, “whatever you decide to do in life, do it to the magnitude that no man dead, no man living, and no man yet to be born could ever do it any better.”
